During the construction of the buildings for the Panama-California Exposition
in 1915, many different styles of architecture were used. In some styles faces were included in the design.
This is only one of the many classical, mythological fantasy faces visible in the architecture throughout Balboa Park. This face is visible on the upper most north end of the west wall of the Museum of Photographic Arts.----- Sandy Thomas
