Pryor
House |
|
In 1889 Frank Pryor built this castle out of Manitou red stone and pressed brick, according to plans drawn by A. M. Stuckert. Hunt and DeWitt handled the construction. You can see for miles in all directions from the top of this majestic tower. The interior is even more beautiful; it is furnished in exquisite hardwoods. There is a remarkable story of how Rolf S. VonAhlefeldt saved this castle from collapsing. Rolf S. and Ruth VonAhlefeldt purchased it in 1955. The canvas size is 18 x 24 inches. |
