CV Ellys Rose,
"Rosey" is a palomino American Quarter Horse mare.
Her sought
after palomino color, characterized by golden yellow body with a white
mane and tail, is the result of a unique genetic trait. The palomino
color is a "dilution effect" created by the inheritance of
one copy of the Crème Gene from her father, who is also a palomino.
Should a horse posses two copies of the gene, a unique double-dilute
horse, whose color is known as cremello or perlino, would result.
