Created for the Panama-California Exposition in 1915, this building has gone through many name changes and many uses. Starting out as a very large structure and named the Science and Education Building, it was re-named twice for the two years of the California-Pacific International Exposition in 1935-1936. At that time it was called the Palace of Fine Art.
Parts of the building were demolished and parts of the building were restored. Today we call this grand structure
the San Diego Museum of Art.
