Sonia Rose

Sonia (Grandiflora), a widely available rose was one of the earlier varieties to be introduced from the South American Rose Market to the U.S. One of the best all time selling roses for the house of Meilland, 'Sonia' is the rose which has been the biggest commercial success in the world with about 40 million plants sold.
Sonia is a full flower with at least 30 petals and has a mild to strong fruity fragrance. It is well liked by florists since it's a long-lasting cut flower. Very few roses make the transition from florist rose to garden rose, and Sonia is one of them.
